A fine example of the expatriate, of «the Senegalese from outside
», Maodo, an MC who has been in France since 1999 to
perfect his art, has now started to contemplate what to do with
himself when he returns home. In a common voice with the
entire senegalese hip-hop community, inside the country as well
as in the "diasporap", today he appeals for an increased participation
from his compatriots to the reconstruction of their country.
To be found throughout the «made in Gal-Sene» community are
the worries of a whole generation of young people in search of
change, that express themselves between an attachment to
their own traditions and a deep fascination with the West. Let's
immerse ourselves in this activist community that has a rich
sense of civic responsibilities...
