Louis, an adventurer of the soul. He journeyed through the history of French psychiatry like a meteor, like a tombstone. Still he has found himself among the living after forty years of asylum and misery.
Filmed for nearly ten years by his psychiatric hospital, the images of Louis are overwhelming. His speech resembles the writing of Louis-Ferdinand Celine, communicating with a startling succinctness in a respiration of words and a fascinating punctuation.
