LA HUIT Production

The young theatre director, Thierry De Peretti chose Balagne in Corsica to prepare his troupe to play William Shakespeare's Richard II. During the open-air rehearsals, we dive into the slow, delicate phase of preparation and initiation. Between the intimate quality of the work and the gigantic element of the Corsican mountains, the film plays on contrasts and oppositions.
The film comes to an end the day after the premier performance at the Théâtre de la Ville, the culmination of six months of work and a prelude to a national tour for more than nine months.
