A documentary film by Mado Le Gall

AVAILABLE ONLY IN FRENCH
Moshé Zalcman, author of The True History of Moshé, a Jewish Communist Worker at the Time of Stalin, has come back from afar. When he got to the USSR in 1933 as a free laborer to contribute to the edification of socialism, Moshe witnessed upon his arrival in Moscow a reality quite different from the one he had "believed" in. Quickly suspect in the eyes of the regime, he was arrested in 1937 by the NKVD, the political police, during the great wave of purges and was sentenced to ten years in a gulag from 1937 to 1947.
