April 99. D-Day minus 275 in the Kalahari desert, as elsewhere on the planet. In eight months, the year 2000. In the village of Auru, Emmanuelle, an ethnomusicologist, rehearses with five Bushmen musicians. In two weeks time, they will be giving a series of concerts in Paris.
In Paris, the hunters and women with ochre-painted faces and scarified legs turn into tourists-consumers for a few days, fascinated by the roller bladers, the Eiffel Tower, and the pizza delivery men's motorbike slaloms. What impact will they have back in the village?
