Cairo Hours
A documentary by Delphine Jaquet & Philippe Lacôte
52'
AVAILABLE ONLY IN FRENCH
For two months, the filmmakers crisscrossed Cairo armed with a digital camera. Cairo Hours is the film of this wandering, the day-to-day recording of a city and the witness to their encounters creating unexpected correspondences and telling the story of their singular journey.
Here young writers of new Egyptian literature appear, as do a militant musician and his memories, a museum devoted to the war with Israel in October 1973, mystical sufis in trance, lost Japanese tourists…
Cairo Hours is the freestyle portrait of contemporary Cairo.
