In 1955, Orson Welles shot a 26' film on the Dominici Affair for the brand-new British television station, ITV . The name of this unachieved film was " The Tragedy of Lurs " which is the name of the village where the crime took place.
Our 52’ documentary presents this unreleased film which has been restored and complete in respect of the original script. It’s the only visual document that was shot just after the trial, many of the protagonists are shown in the short movie which is also the first television experience of Orson Welles.
An unlikely encounter between two "monsters" of the time: Orson Welles and Gaston Dominici.
